Cheap Personalized T-Shirts

by April on April 19, 2011

In preparation for our Disney trip (57 days away!!!) I started making our family shirts for our Grand Gathering Experience at Disney. If you want to learn more about Disney, follow the Disney Guru, she gives great updates and tips. These could be used for lots of different shirts, so I thought I’d share since they were super cheap to make! We bought value packs of t-shirts at Wal-Mart and tie dyed them ourselves for a little color. Here’s the supplies that you need to get started:

The first thing to do is draw your design on Reynolds Freezer Paper and cut the design.

Then iron the outline on your t-shirt plastic side down, and use fabric paint and a foam brush to paint in the design. Make sure to put a piece of wax paper between the shirt to avoid the paint running through to the backside of the shirt.

Let the paint dry for a little while, then remove the freezer paper to reveal your design! If you want, add other details with printable iron-ons (which I got at Jo-Anns using my 40% off coupon). And you’ve got your final project :)
